"On October 10, 2008, my wife and I took our motorhome to Elkhart Service and Collision for a number of repairs that needed to be done.
We found Bill Dunmire and J. D. Adams, Service Manager, were cordial and competent - as were all the technicians we met there. All repairs were done in a professional manner, keeping our coach inside protected from work dust and dirt. They had the proper parts to make the repairs and were very proficient in installing the parts.
At the end of their work day, the last repair (the entry door vinyl) was not finished. Our most impressive thoughts came when all technicians stayed until the job was complete and to our satisfaction.
We just wanted to thank you for helping us get these repairs completed and for sending us to this shop. We will highly recommend Elkhart Service and Collision to anyone needing repairs. "

"I wanted to express my appreciation for the excellent and personal service my wife and I received both when we purchased our Holiday Rambler Ambassador from DeMartini and at your new facility in Elkhart.
We were worried about service when DeMartini and the Ambassador plant closed and were pleasantly surprised when we read that you were involved in opening up a full service facility in the area. Bringing Scott along was an additional big plus.
Being new to the RV life, we had read about problems in obtaining good service work. JD, the teaching approach that you take is terrific. You answered all our questions and you offered a lot of extra information that will serve us well in our travels. As a service technician, Scott was always informative and generous with insight into the mechanics of our motorhome. Additionally, he was one of our early trainers in driving and was an excellent and patient teacher.
I am sure that your approach to service will bring many owners to your new facility. You have set a standard for any other facility we will need to use and we certainly will be back when we are in the area. I'll be spreading the word."
Steve & Alice Adams -
You most likely recall repairing the slide problems (brackets) on our Monaco LaPalma XL this past spring. We have made 3 trips since then with no incidents with the slide-that's a record since we purchased the coach in August 2007!
We want to thank you for your persistence in pursuing the root of the problem and making the repairs! We have recommended ESC to other friends and will continue to do so.
Janet & Rich Abbott-
This morning as we were getting ready to leave the Holiday Rambler Southeast Rally, and my husband started putting in the front slide out on our motorhome. As he was retracting he heard a crackling sound and immediately stopped. At the same time he stopped, someone we did not know and at the time thought it was the person who owned the unit directly across the road, came running from where he was working on another motorhome at the rally. He said we had ice on the awning and to put the slide back out and take off the ice before continuing. We did not have a ladder with us, and my husband could not get up on the ladder to the motorhome due to knee problems. This gentleman went up the ladder, took off the ice fairly quickly and we were able to continue on our way in a matter of minutes. We, of course, thanked him for his kindness.
Upon getting back to our RV Park and picking up the mail, I was reading the Holiday Ramblings which my husband just picked up with the mail. When I saw the ad for Elkhart Service & Collision, we realized that it was your service mechanic, Roger Watkins, who was the person who actually helped us. We can't thank him enough and it shows the quality and integrity of the people who work for your company. Please let him know that we sincerely appreciate his help.
JD - you did a great job with your seminars. We are new to owning a Motorhome and my husband benefited greatly from your seminars which he attended.
Thank you!!
Bob and Marie Smith-
“On July 30, 2009 Bob and I experienced a Norcold refrigerator fire at about 5:00 AM. Thanks to fellow campers and the quick response from the fire department at the Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH, we survived and our coach was not totaled. It did however have significant fire, smoke and water damage. Needless to say this was a life altering experience that changed our lives for an extended period of time. We live in our coach full time you see, and everything we own was in this Motor Coach. Our insurance company, GMAC chose ESC to determine the extent of damage, develop an estimate, and complete the work. We were relieved and delighted with their choice, as we do not know of any other place capable of this job. JD and Roger actually came to Dayton and drove it back to Elkhart.”
“We want to publicly offer a heart felt thank you to our friends at Elkhart Service and Collision for the personal attention they paid to getting our coach back together and on the road again in record time. This would have been a year long project any where else and we were out before Christmas. This was a huge job that they undertook! They had to do tasks like removing and installing the roof and a whole wall without the specially designed equipment used at the factory. The rewiring job was massive! Not only was their job labor intensive, but finding replacement parts was another adventure due to the collapse of the industry. This called for a great deal of creativity. Many pictures of the reconstructive process can be seen on this web site. If there was a job to demonstrate the great skills and workmanship of this crew, our coach was it! They also did a beautiful job installing my nice new residential refrigerator. Thank you again!"
